About
Open your senses to a re-awakening!
To be awake is to be deeply conscious, aware and present.
So many people are walking around not fully engaged or participating in life peripherally. Our senses have been dulled by our modern society. Media overload, excessive screen time, lack of self and community care, and limited time in nature has become our "normal" way of living. Through seeking to understand the depth of the human experience, we turn to the place that holds a mirror of truth: the natural world.
As we awaken to our personal nature and our natural surroundings, we begin to understand that the world we live in is an animate, complex, interconnected network of living relationships. Opening to the guidance of Nature allows us to foster and strengthen our connections to all beings within this living, breathing, interwoven fabric. Our shared existence with the water, the stones, the soil and the wind, the plants, the trees, the animals and the fungus is a powerful source of wonder and wisdom.
Our world becomes transformed into a symphony of radiant and dynamic interactions. We become enlivened, joyful, reverent, curious, grounded and enthusiastic human beings.
Core Values
Connection to Nature - Through close alignment with nature, we grow an appreciation and empathetic understanding of all living creatures: both human and non-human. It is imperative that we rekindle a healthy living relationship with the Earth.
Connection to our personal nature - Through engaging with the natural world in a meaningful way, we start to reflect on our own personal way of being. We further explore answers to those age old questions: who we are and why are we here? We begin to flow with the changes in ourselves instead of resisting that natural process. We seek to become a whole, connected human being.
Connection to other people - We seek to be heard, be seen and belong to a safe and encouraging community of people. It is through active engagement with our community that we see our personal gifts flourish. We learn more, understand more, and can become more within a supportive and inspiring group setting.
Jordan has been mentoring people for over a decade in Deep Nature awareness, Naturalist training and Wilderness survival skills.
Jordan earned a Diploma in Ecosystem Management from Fleming College. He then began a Wilderness skills apprenticeship and spent 2 years living in the forest while inhabiting natural shelters made from the land. This immersion allowed him to foster a profoundly intimate and personally transformative relationship with the Earth. During this time he devoted himself to developing the skills needed to deeply attune to the land.
His passion for connecting people to the rhythms and cycles of the natural world, while creating a respect and love for all living things, drives his enthusiasm and creativity to mentor individuals in these ways.
